What is Club Penguin?

Are you a begginer and do not have any idea what Club Pengin is? Club Penguin is an online game which can be played at www.miniclip.com . The idea of the game is that you have created a little penguin, you are then placed in a penguin world where there is lots of other penguins (other players). In this world there is stores games and events to play in and join. By playing games you can earn coins, with these coins, you can go to the many stores to buy items for you or your igloo (home). As well as talking to all the other players in the game you can also have snowball fights. If you find another player that you like you can add them to your buddy list, once they are on this list you can visit their igloo (home).

Get ready and rug up because the cold front is on the way, but this is not just any cold front it is going to be freezing. As well as huge snowfall. Possibly the biggest in CP history. We can expect this snow front to hit within the next few days and will be seeing huge clumps of snow all over town. It will be a far cry from the usuall sun and blue sky but lckily the next clothing catalogue will have all the approppriate clothing to get us through the winter! Stay Warm!

Club Penguin Event – New Arcade Game (UPDATE)

Finally, coming out on December 19 is a new arcade ame it is called ‘Thin Ice’ and will be located next to the ‘Astro Barrier’ Game. The object of the game is to melt ice to form a path for a puffle to get through a maze, as always the higher you get the more coins you will receive. That’s all for now!

Club Penguin Event – Christmas Party

Yes, we new it would come. The offical 2006 Club penguin Christmas Party. Not much to say about it really, the town will be decked out in christmas decorations though and the offical starting date is December 22. Make sure you are there.

Club Penguin Event – Christmas Igloo Decorating Contest

Starting on the 15th of December and ending on the 19th of December is the Christmas Igloo Decorating Contest. When you decorate your igloo between these two dates you re automatically in the contest. At the end of the competition, igloos will be judged for three different categories. These are:

• The Best ever Silliest Christmas Decor.
• The best old fashioned Christmas decor.
• The best ever classy Christmas Decor.

Goodbye Captain Rockhopper!

I am sad to announce that we must say goodbye as leaves Club Penguin on Friday the 22nd of December. Rockhopper was apparently staying longer but due to the freezing and harsh conditions (see article in Club Penguin Events) as he wants to keep his ship in good condition. He claimed that seeing all our decrated igloos was a treasur he willl not forget. Because he is leaving early he plans to come back in one month instead of two. So untill then we say, Thanks for coming Captain and we can’t wait untill next time!

Captian Rockhopper Returns – 8th December

At last Captain Rockhopper has returned to Club Penguin, this time he is located at the beach!

New Clothing Catalogue – 8th December

Here are the secret hidden items for the sports store / gift shop. I will be updating these weekly so you do not miss a thing.

Page Three -

• Click on the snowboard helmet (head part), and the discription will disapear leaving the word ‘viking helmet’. Click on the word and a red viking helmet will pop up, you can buy this for 750 coins (members only), also if you click on the word viking then close it, four times a blue viking helmet will appear.

Page Ten -

• Click on the hockey helmet to reveal a pair of ski goggles, which can be purchased for 480 dollars.

Page Fifteen -

• See the chef penguin, now see the pizza he is holding. Click on it to reveal a hidden ‘Quilted Vest’, this can be purchased for 450 coins. Not only does it do this but it also turns the pizza into a fish.

When you enter the Sports / Gift Store, click on the catalogue in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Search through the catalogue for secret items, this can be done by clicking on certain pictures or peices of text. These certain pictures or peices of text change regularly so check every few weeks.

Secret Location – The Cave

Another hidden location is the cave, although this one is not on the map, rather hidden in a location in Club Penguin. To get to the cave you must first go to the Puffles Store. Then walk over the hatch in the ground to take you to the Cave. See picture below.

Once you are down the hatch you will be inide the cave, the cave has a swimming pool and a tunnel through to the mine, it is also a room that links up to the boiler room, where you can read all the old papers.

The Dojo

There are several hidden or secret locations in Club Penguin, one of these is the Dojo, unfortunately you can only get to the dojo if you are a member, to become a member click the links on the club penguin site. Membership costs about $5.95US, It’s not much to pay considering all the advantages. Anyway Certain events are held in the dojo, to get there click on the mountain with the white peak, in the top-centre of the map, see picture below.

The Ice-Burg

New Candy Cane Christmas Pin! – 22nd December

Celebrating Christmas there is a new pin out, howevr thi one is slightly different to the others, to get it you must go to page A4 in the newspaper, then go to the bottom of the page and purchase a christmas tree decoration for 50 coins, once you have done this you are given the new pin as a reward.

Second Mission – G’s Secret Mission

December 3rd, 2006

Yes, the secret mission is very tough but with thu=is guide you will be able to pass it with ease! Follow these simple steps and you will have that medal in no time!

• Talk to G, he will ask what you want, reply that you are there for the secret mission.
• He will then give you a riddle the answer is ‘mogul’ , but before you tell him make sure you exit the sports shop then go back in and tell him.
• G will want to show you a new prototype sled, take it with you to the mountain.
• Complete the test run  but make sure you use G’s Sled.
• Don’t worry because it is impossible not to crash, you have to.
• When you awake in the wild,grab the peice of string and walk off to the right hand side of screen.
• Get the survival guide and move forward.
• Grab 3 “o berries” (from the bush), and move right a little bit. You can put all the o-berries into the same box in the inventory.
• Shake the front tree 3 times, then grab the pot and keep going froward.
• You will see a bunch of puffles. Click on one of them to scare them away. The black puffle will still be there. Give it an “o berry” and it will turn into a fireball. Then, it will follow you.
• Move left and move forward
• Grab the ski stuck in the bush.
• Mix together the combine ski, the rope, and an o berry. Now you have a fish pod with an o berry as bait. Move to the right side after that.
• Move forward, and you are back to where the Puffles were. forward to go back to the place with o-berries. Move to the far left side. 20. Move forward and you come to a place with a small stream.
• Use the fish pod you  made to catch a fish!
• Pick up the fish you just caught.
• Use the pot to get water from the stream.
• Go forward, and there’s a cave for temporary shelter.
• Click the bush, and it will open the cave entrance. click the cave entrance to go into the cave. After you enter the cave, move to the far right side.
• Click any of the stones.
• Put the log in the middle of the circle
• Put the Survival guide on the log. It will act as timber to help ignite the fire.
• Give an “o-berry” to the black puffle again, it will turn into a fireball and ignite the log
• Fry the fish and eat it (click on the fish)
• Boil the water and drink it (click on the boiling pot)
• You will sleep for a few seconds and waken by some noise outside.
  
• Go outside and you will see an agent flying a jet pack down. He is the rescuer.
•  Talk to the agent, and you will be back in the sports shop. talk to G, and you will finish the mission. Don’t forget to get the medal and the letter!I hope that will help yu in your quest to get the second medal!!!

First Mission – The Case of the Missing Puffles

First of all go to the H.Q, and press on the ‘Secret Missions’ folder, which is located in the bottom right hand corner. Click on the mission and then press accept mission. First of all go to the ice rink and look all the way to the right, pick up the photos, which are on the ice. Take them back to Aunt Arctic. After that go to the puffle shop and read the note all the way to the left on the puffle kennel. It will say G (Scientist in sport shop) has a certain number of socks, use your secret code decoder to decode the message. Then go to the sport shop and answer his question. Then use the life preserver launcher to save the penguins at the ice berg. After that go back to the sport shop and get the grapple hook. Next go to the ski mountain and use your spy phone spanner to fix the Penguins telescope. (To get the tools click on the red light on your spy phone.) Use the telescope to search around until you see a green flying puffle. Go to the tallest mountain and use the grapple hook to get to the peak of the mountain.  After you find the puffles talk to Aunt Arctic and receive your award.

Becoming a secret agent!

To become a secret agent you must first make sure that you are thirty days old. Sorry to say that if you are not thirty days old you cannot be a secret agent. Once you are fully logged into Club Pengin click on the big letter ‘M’, which is located in the top right hand corner of screen. Follow the form through untill you get to the quiz. The answers for the quiz are: (1).Honest (2).Being mean or rude (3).Report them (4).Saying their address (5).I want to keep Club Penguin Safe (6).I want to help other penguins. Once you ave completed this logout, then login again, now you have a spy phone!

What is a secret Agent?

A secret agent is a type of status your penguin can get if it is good enough. There are alot of benifets of becoming a secret agent, this includes unlocking a secret headquarters. receiving special items and have the chance to complete ‘top secret’ missions. Although being a secret agent is fun it also requires some responsibility, as another role you must forfill as a secret agent is to keep Club Penguin safe. This is done by reporting any bad penguin who is offensive or rude. So if you think you have what it takes to become a secret agent then read on as ‘total club penguin players guide’ elp you acheive secret agent status. Good Luck!

New Minigame – Thin Ice!

Wow, a new game has finally come out, it is called Thin Ice. It is an arcade style game, much like another CP minigame Astro Barrier. This game is very strategical and very enjoyable.

Location: In the Night Club in the Dance lounge which is upstairs, the actual game is positioned right next to Astro Barrier.

Type: Arcade style game, involves alot of thinking and strategy planning.

Coins: As you work through Thin Ice you will receive points, 10 points is worth 1 coin, so for example: 1230 points =123 coins. This game is not the best way to get coins as it does not offer as many as the other games such as Jet Pack Adventure and Cart Surfer and is also very slow, it will take you about 5 times more time to get the same amount of coins for playing Cart Surfer once. So yes this game is no really a money making one, more for your enjoyment.

Game Objective: The object of the game is to steer a little red puffle, that happens to be on fire, through an ice maze. Although each time he steps onto a different peice of ice it melts, therefore there is not turning back. The idead of the game is to get to the end of each maze, there are 20 mazes in total.

Instructions: Up Key = Move Forward, Down Key = Move Back, Right Side Key = Move Right, Left Side Key = Move Left.

Hints or tips for the Game: None at this stage, but check back regularly to see if any pop up.

Club Penguin Game – Jet Pack Adventure

The jet pack game id where you ude one of G’s Jet Packs to fly around and collect coins, whatever amounts of coins you collect in the game is how many you will receive as a prize. However you have a limited amount of fuel, so you need to keep restocking by flying into containers of petrol. Finally there are also alot of obstacles you must fly over, under or around to avoid.

 Cart Surfer is a game where you ride in a cart, during this ride, through a mine, you try to perform tricks, the better the trick, the more points you get. The more points you get, the more coins you earn!

TRICKS, TIPS AND HINTS-

• Performing multiple moves at once makes a combo move, giving you more points.
• When you perform tricks in patterns you get more points.
• Make sure when you go around the corners you lean to the side you are turning.

Club Penguin Games – Astro Barrier

Astro barrier is a game where you try to shoot little moving targets, once you shoot all the targets in one level you are able to move onto the next level, the more levels you pass, the more coins you get.

TIPS, TRICKS AND HINTS-

• On the opening / loading page press the 1 key to go to level 10, press the 2 key to go to level 20 or press the 3 key to go to level 30.
• After you have passed level 10, Wait for 25 seconds, then a blue ship will appear, shoot it to be taken to 10 secret levels.

Club Penguin Games – Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is a game located out the back of the ski lodge. In this game you try to catch as many fish as you can using a fishing line and worms as bait. The more fish you catch the more coins you earn. When a giant red fish swims past it means your time is up.

TIPS, HINTS AND TRICKS-

• When the giant red fish is coming at the end leave a yellow fish on the line dangling in the water, this will let you catch the giant red fish, giving you bonus coins.

Cool Penguin Tricks – Walk on Walls

Another cool trick your penguin can perform is to walk up the walls of the lighthouse, and although this trick seems hard to beleive it has been tested and yes it does work. Walk up the lighthouse walls in these easy steps.

1. Enter the lighhouse which is located at the beach, on your map.
2. Locate the bucket of fish.
3. Go and stand behind it, so that only your name can be seen.
4. Next, Stay where you are, do not move, now locate the exit door on the left of screen, and then the treasure map up on the second floor, hanging from the wall.
5. Ok ready here it comes, click on the exit door and instantly after yu have done that click on the treasure map.

You might not get it first shot because you have to click the treasure map very quickly after the door. If you did get it however, Congratulations, you can now walk on walls in the lighthouse.

Cool Penguin Tricks – Dance Moves

When you hit the dance icon to make your penguin dance there is not just one dance in fact there are many. Your penguin will do a different dance / movement depending on what you are wearing. Here is a list of all the different dances you can do:

• Hardhat / Miner’s helmet = Start using a jackhammer
• Water Wings / Inflatable Duck = Water Dance
• Cofee Apron = Pour Coffee
• Chef Hat = Toss Pizza dough
• Hawaiin Lei = Hula Dance
• Clown Wig + Clown Suit = Start Juggling
• Hold Lasso = twirl in the air
• Life Guard Whistle + Wave = Start blowing the whistle
